I have used many test prep books during my years of teaching but this one is by far the best I've used. The stories are nonfiction and very good. And the questions are truly common core aligned. Many books, (i.e. Ready books) are not totally common core aligned in my opinion. This book provides excellent exposure for students to have before taking state exams. It also includes tips for students to use as best practices.It has both multiple choice and short response questions with each week's stories.

We did like the book, both the texts and the assignments are great for this age. It provides a great help for children to improve their reading comprehension skills. A must have for a fifth-grader. Highly recommended!
Love the video explanations that you have access too. Helps my daughter greatly with reading comprehension and tips on how to answer multiple choice answers.

Like it. The book contains a good set of assignments that, if practiced on regular basis, definitely help in preparation to the Common Core test.
The texts are of reasonable length and complexity, so children don't feel overwhelmed.

It's hard to find topics or study a particular topic with this workbook. Table of contents only mentions"Week1", "Week2", "Week3" etc. There is also no word index at the back.
